It’s important to keep a regular check on your cat’s health to help maintain their quality and length of life. Picking up subtle, negative changes can lead to earlier diagnosis of many treatable conditions. To help you monitor your cat’s wellbeing we offer a six-month health check – a nurse-led check-up that you can book between vaccine appointments.
The health check consists of a scheduled 20 min appointment during which your cat will receive a nose to tail examination with a nurse. The nurse will provide support and advice on preventative healthcare issues such as flea and worming treatments, exercise and diet. They will check your cat’s teeth, weigh them and get to know your cat’s behavioural ins and outs!

Please note that nurses cannot diagnose illness or dispense medication, but they are a valuable source of feline knowledge that you can tap into. If they have any concerns about your cat’s health which they are not able to address, they will be able to schedule you an appointment with our veterinary team.
Cost
The health check is £25 (or free if you’re a Cat’s Whiskers Health Plan member).
We must stress that the six-month health checks are suitable only if your cat is generally well. If you think your cat is unwell you will need to book a vet appointment.
Please note:
If your cat is mature (7-10 years), senior (11-14 years), or super-senior (11 years plus) we would recommend booking a Silver Tails check.
