Please call us to discuss the specifics of your case, so we can find the right fit.

Urgent Referrals

If you require an urgent same day referral, please call us and one of our team will speak to you as soon as possible. Same day referrals will only be available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday depending on holiday, sickness and availability.

As a small, feline only, internal medicine referral clinic we are not always equipped to provide the best care for emergency and critical care cases. If we are not the right clinic for your referral we will always advise you accordingly, and offer suggestions of where to seek further help.

We are sorry, but we can only offer emergency referrals and advice services on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

General  Referrals

We aim to keep the referral process as quick and easy as we can for you, while ensuring that we are the right centre for your case.

We like to discuss your case with you prior to Referral but we know that isn’t always right for you, especially on a busy day. So we are also happy to accept an on-line referral and after reviewing the case, we can call your client direct with minimum input from yourself. Either way all we ask is that you complete our Referral Form and provide us with your patient’s clinical history, as well as any relevant test results and diagnostic imaging pictures .

We understand that you want the best for your client and that prompt, clear communication between all parties is of the utmost importance . We will keep you updated on a regular basis via email, bringing you up to speed on the investigations we have carried out, the results we have gathered, and the agreed plan of action we have drawn up with your client.

Once the initial visit and investigations have been completed, we can continue to manage ongoing conditions if that suits you and your client best, or we can hand them back into your care, supporting you with ongoing advice as needed.

As a combined first opinion and referral practice, we know that some local referral clients would look to transfer their cats to us on a permanent basis. We understand the need to protect you from this, so once a cat has been referred to us we will never register their owner as a first opinion client in the subsequent 6 months from the date of referral, either for the referred cat or any other cat in their household. After that time we cannot deny owner’s freedom of choice, but we make it clear that should they register with us they and their cats will be seen by our first opinion team and not by the referral vet they have come to know.

For all our first opinion clients we operate a geographical limit and do not register owners who live more than 45 minutes’ drive away.

Case Advice

Sharing our cat knowledge is of great importance to us and our Specialist team are always happy to discuss cases with you when referral is not an option, or not needed. This a free of charge service to practices within our Referral catchment area*. For those colleagues outside of our area there is a fee of £50 inc VAT.
